David's Place Resort was founded in the year 1984 by brothers David and Jim Doughty.

From its humble beginnings, David's Place is now one of the biggest budget properties within the Yasawa Chain of Islands. David's Place has made such an impact within the business world that it was awarded the 'The Century International Quality Era Award' in the Gold Category and was described as 'an entity for achievement, and to recognize quality and excellence'.

David's Place is situated along the Beachfront of Tavewa Island. Tavewa measures approximately 3km x 1 km. It is part of the Nacula District in the Yasawa Chain of Islands that lies Northwest of the island of Viti Levu. This chain of Islands lie amongst unspoilt nature white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, clear blue skies and the friendly welcoming smile of the Fijian people makes this the perfect holiday destination.
